I am new to AutoCAD products.
I am taking an online course from 4DTechnologies to learn AutoCAD LT.
In the course section under "Display" there is instructions for "Creating Tiled View".
In the course the tiled view is two identical views displayed vertical.
When I create the tiled views in my software, the view on left is identical to the one in the training course but the one on the right appears to be in 3D mode or isometric view. I didn't think LT had 3D capabilities and I can't seem to find the solution to make both views identical as in the training course.
Need assistance on making the isometric view on the right match the standard view on the left.
I have emailed CADLearning with 4DTechnologies but there first reply was to try another version of the training course (2018 in place of 2017), I get the same results with both versions of training courses.
I don't think it is the training course, I think it is user error on my part.
LT can view 3D models, and can view from any any angle, somehow you have chosen an isometric view (we'd have to see the instructions to know how that happened, to go back to plan view, make the 1 view active and type the following>
UCS <enter>
W <enter>
Plan <enter> <enter>
which will put you back in the plan view, you can also find the various options in the ribbon or menu under the view tile, or start the view command from the command line, for a dialogue with the various view options
Hello @Anonymous,
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
To add try looking over the following;
To Rotate a View by Changing the UCS
Post back and let me know if this helps or if it doesn't.
Thanks.
How are you setting the tiled viewports, what are the commands you use, because there is an option in amongst the various methods to choose a 2D or 3D tiled view and it looks like you are using the 3D option, without knowing how you get there it would be guess work to try and list the various ways of producing viewports.
Hello @Anonymous,
Thanks for posting back.
If you want and have time try creating a screencast video of your workflow. This was we can take a look and see maybe where we could help or a setting is missed.
The application is free and can be accessed here: https://screencast.autodesk.com/
It basically captures your entire screen and keyboard functions.
I'm following up on my previous post if you have any questions or found a workaround post back with any new updates
If you still need help or have questions I'll be more than happy to help.
Thanks.
Please select Accept as Solution if my post or any other post in this thread resolves your issue, or reply with additional information if the problem persists.
Downloaded screencast per your recommendation.
I really like this program thank you.
I have uploaded two videos, 2 different plans to verify it is not just the study course plan causing the issue.
The second one has voice added.
I hope I did this correctly so both videos are able to be viewed.
I am using AutoCAD LT 2018
I have downloaded screencast as suggested by Emmsley.
I have uploaded two videos of my screen capture to possibly help in rectifying my issue.
Thanks to both of you.
I'm sorry @Anonymous, but would you mind posting the links to your screencast videos to this thread.
Thanks in advance for your efforts.
I have just updated this screencast from private to public.
See if this helps diagnose the issue.
If not I will live with it.
Thanks
Dan
@Anonymous,
I'm gonna put the link so that everyone providing input on this thread can also take a look.

What do you have your UCSFOLLOWS set as?
I'm sorry, I have been away from AutoCAD LT for a few days.
Overloaded trying to work and put in the study time I have been trying to keep up with.
I am not familiar with the UCSFOLLOWS, is this a command to be typed in the command line.
And if it is what should it be set as?
Hey @Anonymous,
I'm sure you're busy. I'm just checking on my previous post. If you have any questions about my post let me know.
If you still need suggestions or have questions I'll be more than happy to help.
Thanks.
