creating hatch patterns from jpeg

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if a hatch pattern can be created from an image?

I have a jpeg snip of callacatta marble and looking if I can create a hatch pattern in order to hatch curves etc.  The clipping option only gives me a rectangular option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need full AutoCAD, not LT, and the command SUPERHATCH.

I have the same question!  It would make sense to be able to load a jpeg of a wallcovering pattern or marble slab and have Autocad LT allow one to create and apply a custom hatch pattern to elevations and drawings.  For those of us who are design oriented and needing to help clients see options and make choices, this would be an important user friendly tool!  Otherwise people will leave Autocad for other more user friendly software.  With all the improvements in Autocad I would think this to be an overlooked but important and do-able feature!
