Creating a background mask for revision clouds

I need to place revision clouds directly over the original dimensions, but I need to also add a background mask to the cloud to that the text going inside the cloud does not show the old text under it. This could be done by either adding a background mask to the revision cloud or somehow changing the text box for a multileader into revision cloud style, because I know where the option to add a background mask for a multileader is.

Any answer to the two solutions would be appreciated thank you!

You can hatch a revcloud which would cover the old dim then any text you add after that would be above the hatch (draw order behaviour is the newest items are automatically on top). If your revcloud could always be the same size then create a block with a revcloud and a hatch then an attribute for the text item, so you can just drop the block over an old item and easily update the new text value (or multileader).

Nothing does that automatically: you will need to manually do it with a solid hatch inside your cloud then draworder.
