Greetings @cm1

HELP in LT is a good place to learn about "complex" linetypes (text in it), but to have a shape like this is going to require more than LT alone to accomplish without access to a SHX shape file that contains it.

Do you by chance?

@cm1 In AutoCADLT, you must have a font file or a "shape" file that contains custom objects like your circled-arrows in order to create a custom linetype that looks like your screenshot.
It's a limitation, can you find such a file?

If not, you'll have to explore other methods if upgrading to full AutoCAD to gain access to it's MKLTYPE command to do this all the time is not an option. LT is not comparable to Microstation by a long stretch.

thank you pendean for your reply and willing to help me..

how do I search for "shape file" and or how do I create such file. I have no option of going full version. This is an employer choice. I'm a BICS Engineer Fiber Planner for the LEC in my area. I had a full set of Telco Type line types and 'cells' for commonly used items in the field..  plus the placement of fiber cable in the RoW DOT easements in MicroStation. I NO longer have access to MStation. all I have are my saved DGN & PDF's. I am out of my element in AutoCad LT migrating from MStation. I have done the required training modules suggested from my employer and now trying to build a template. That line type is highly needed, it represents existing or proposed fiber placement.

Exisitng is Orange,, Proposed is Red

Not sure if that gets me any further in my quest however, that is my situation.

thank you for reading my post
