CPOYBASE Pasting DMP file name rather than object copied

When using the COPYBASE (CTRL+SHIFT+C) command, I can sometimes paste the object, but only up-to a few times until the object turns into a file name, rather than the original object copied. File name always reads:

C:\Users\softa\AppData\Local\Temp\PRODUCT_NAME_UNKNOWN_CrashDumpPRODUCT_VERSION_MAJOR_UNKNOWN-PRODUCT_VERSION_MINOR_UNKNOWN-2019-03-02--16-03-32_.dmp

I have tried deleting my temp files, doing an audit, purging, recovering, and moving my DWG files into a separate drive (D:).

Sometimes I can paste an object up to five times before the file name appears, sometimes none. It is extremely frustrating when trying to paste the same object between different layouts. I am having this issue in both model space and paperspace.

Thanks,

AB

Is both the files done fully in Autocad? Try opening both the files using -RECOVER and try again.

When you open both the files is there any missing/error showing up in the command line?
