Copy Paste Chaos

I am having a DAY with a couple of drawings right now.

One of my drawings is a show design export from Vectorworks. Everything displays the same as it is in VWX, though the groups/blocks/layers are a little wonky. But at this point I expect that when going from VWX to ACAD.

The second drawing is an ACAD original of a building, and aside from some lunatic using 1.5mm lineweights through a giant portion of it, it's perfectly normal as well.

The first problem is when I put my show drawing into the building drawing, ACAD decides to shuffle both my point objects, and their associated labels. As well as putting all the labels in upside down. Whether I copy/paste or copy with base point/paste isn't making a difference, and both drawings have identical an identical UCS. Photos attached of that mayhem.

The second problem is when I decided to try putting the building drawing into my show drawing, I'm getting a fraction of the objects to show up. None of the layers are locked or frozen, I've exploded the drawing as far as it will go to try and break any connections that might be keeping me from actually being able to copy items. Unfortunately I can't post photos of that, as it's sensitive info. Obviously that goes for the drawings themselves as well.

I'm kind of at a loss here. The Google machine hasn't brought me to any answers, and it's brought my entire day to a stand still.

Set UCS and PLAN commands both to WORLD, see what happens in both files.

And never forget: content with the same name in the destination file ALWAYS replace those objects from the source file.

Then you have to find out if someone added masking/wipeouts to the blocks and if they need to be removed.

OR... share your DWG files here please, delete all the sensitive information, leave enough to be able to replicate the problem.

OR... RENAME command may be all you need to do to fix it.
