copy and paste changes object from round to oval

Hopefully, I can explain this.  We just recently went from ACLT 2015 to ACLT 2018.  In 2015 I could copy and paste to a Word document with no problem.  All the round shapes would show as round.  Since we've upgraded to 2018, if I do a copy and paste to Word, the round objects in the drawing appear as ovals and everything just doesn't look right.  I can bring it in a a windows picture metafile but that causes more problems.  Anyone know how to fix 2018 to paste in Word as an ACLT object?

"doesn't look right" means what? Could it also be compressed, like your circles are now ovals compressed?

May I ask why you do it that way? Do you need to open that AutoCAD file from inside MSWord by chance? Since Win7 in our office we all just use the Windows Snipping Tool to drop pictures into MSWord and MSExcel when needed and stopped doing your method (your image is captured in the clipboard if you did not know, ready to paste) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots

Yes like the image is compressed. I would use the snipping tool but she
uses a black background with ACLT and we don't want that to show in the word
doc.

Hi @lrollins,

I can duplicate this behavior on my side too. The solution I use is to rt-click on the pasted image in Word, select Format Object and then on the Size tab I set the scale to the same value for height as well as width.
