Cannot get dialog boxes and pull down menus to display properly

I've got a new system running an Nvidia GEForce 1070 GTX graphics card, and I'm running AutoCAD LT 2017.  I also have (had) AutoCAD LT 2014; same problem on this machine, but it worked just fine on my old laptop with monitor.  For some reason the dialog boxes and drop down menus are vertically compressed, such that they're unusable.  See below.

The first one shows the MTEXT dialog box - as you can see, nothing is available in it for text editing.

The 2nd one shows what I see when I use the "open" command.  As you can see, the directory structure is vertically compressed.

The 3rd one shows the Layer drop down menu.  Same problem.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

I can't seem to reproduce the same effect.

Would you be able to send me a NFO file? I'll send you a BOX invite.

To add if you could also try testing the following suggestions and let me know what helps. Thanks.

-----------

Revert advanced display settings in Windows:

  1. For Windows 7, click the Windows Start menu and type change window glass colors (or right-click the desktop, choose Personalize, and then click Window Colors), then click on Advanced appearance settings. For Windows 8, 8.1, and 10, click the Windows Start menu and type display in the search field and pick "Display (control panel)." Alternatively, from Display Settings, click Advanced Display Settings and then Advanced Sizing of Text and Other Items.
  2. Click on each menu item and make sure the font size is 9 with no bold selected. Note: Windows 7 has more choices and not all have a font size. Tip: You can use the down arrow on the keyboard to move through the menu instead of clicking each time.

Disable DPI scaling for AutoCAD:

  1. Right-click the AutoCAD shortcut or the acad.exe program file and choose Properties.
  2. On the Compatibility tab, select "Disable display scaling on high DPI."
  3. Click OK.

Lower the display resolution (Windows):

  1. Right-click the desktop and choose Screen Resolution.
  2. Select a resolution closer to 2000 dpi (around 2560 dpi tends to be an acceptable resolution).

Would you also mind sharing your screen resolution as well?

I've tested multiple screens with resolutions set to:

  • 2880 x 1800
  • 2560 x 1600

Also in your graphics card settings:

Try adding AutoCAD LT to your manage 3D settings.

Following up on your thread, were you able to find a solution? Or a workaround?

Did any of the posts in the thread help with your issue?

Please post back in the thread if you are still having an issue with AutoCAD or Select Accept as Solution for the post’s that helped.

Thanks for your time.
