Can you make a custom color palette in AutoCAD?

I use colors 250 - 255 in all my drawings, and already have all my layers set up with these colors.  However, I often need to access these colors instead of relying on ByLayer or ByBlock.  Is there a way to keep these colors on my properties palette without having to manually open them via the "More Colors" tab every time I open AutoCAD?

Q: If the layers an their colors are already predefined in your file(s), why do you need to change them often?

Or are you trying to do something else that has nothing to do with layer colors in your file? There are probably other ways to do whatever that is if you can let us know.

BTW there is no option to override hardcoded functions in AUtoCAD like that depending on where you pick/select etc.

"No way" but one small workaround

Write a macro or lisp like this

_.CECOLOR;250;_.CECOLOR;251;

and so on, at last set ByLayer current.

After this steps the colors should offered in your color lists.
