Drawing attached with the problem.
Using AutoCAD LT 2024
Windows 11 Pro
- So all I want to do is solid hatch the purple shape in this drawing. I moved it away from the other objects as this often stops hatching working properly but still won't hatch.
- It's a closed polyline, yet when you try to do pick internal point hatch is says it's not closed and highlights gaps in completely unconnected objects (so pretty normal broken-ness of AutoCAD hatching).
- When you try to do select object hatch it says "unable to fill boundary with solid" - never seen this error in my 8 years of using CAD.
- It will let me hatch in a different pattern (only using select object, pick internal doesn't work no matter the pattern) but then when you try to change it to solid the hatch is basically deleted and it says "unable to to update the solid fill" - another error I've never seen.
- Hatching in a different pattern and trying to match properties from the blue hatches again just deletes the hatch, no error or anything, just gone.
- I tried auditing the drawing, came back with no errors, no fixes, nothing erased.
- I know I can just use a pattern and drop the scale so small it appears as solid, but I would rather just know the cause/solution to this issue as I do drawings like this on a weekly basis so to suddenly get this problem after years of doing them I'd like to know what to do to fix it!
Cheers,
Tom
