Block Properties Options

Hey all,

I am working on block properties and was wondering if there is a way "rename" a list. For example I want to have the first thing that pops up to say Series --> 190, 200, 210 instead of 2 1/4" 3 1/2" and 5" from example.

Is this possible?

Thanks

I seriously doubt it, in this case these are measurements and not text labels, as such they cannot be "renamed", you can use "Names" in a lookup table to directly drive dimensions, but as far as I can see that isn't possible in a block properties table (someone else may see it differently), but I don't think it will be possible.

Reading between the lines.... it appears you actually want to change your drawing file or block's UNITS from inches to something else, is that correct?

Following up on your thread, were you able to find a solution or a workaround? Did any of the posts in the thread help with the issue?

Please post back with any updates.

Thanks.

Sorry for the delay in respond.I'm trying to complete override the input. For example I want 190 to be 5".

Thanks for the video. I looked at doing it this way, but I require doing this in Block properties as I have multiple variables that I need to show-up at different times. Unless I'm wrong there is no way to link lookup tables and block properties?

Ok, I will go back on my earlier post, yes you can do it, but it's not straight forward, it will require the use of double lookups, and empty linear parameters to get it to work (at least this method will), almost impossible to describe in a few words, so take a look at the attached file and see how much of it you can work out, and as questions for the rest. It's all metric but in theory the measurements shouldn't be important, in this example

190=5 units horizontal

200=7 units horizontal

100=5 units vertical

101=6 units vertical

102=10 units vertical

103=20 units vertical

As you see the input units in the block properties table bears no reference to the output sizes

PS it would be really helpfull, if you have any questions, to post more details on the different values you need to use, and how they work together, an example drawing would be nice.

Thanks. This should be a good base for me to work off.
