block editor stops progress for 25 secs after use

When I use block editor, then save and exit, it takes 25 secs (I timed it) to activate another command. It's not vital but it's pretty darn irritating and interrupts my flow of thought. ADD might be that problem but can anyone tell me how to fix the first?

I'm running Autocad LT 2021.
