Binding

Good afternoon,

My client has requested all my drawings to be bound, but when I go in to my drawings there is nothing to bind?

The X-Refs are not there? Which is fine for me as the drawing is correct, but I cannot bind as requested?

I have attached one of the drawings..

Thanks Guys.

The xrefs have to be loaded before you can bind them.

Of course your attachment was of a single DWG file so we don't know if your Xrefs are found or not when YOU open this DWG.

Perhaps you need to adjust the path to them, so that they will load, then you can bind them.

Then contact your client and tell then you do not XREF any files, therefore you have nothing to bind. I suspect they just made an assumption that you do XREF files. So you two need to talk to each other.

The file that @Anonymous posted DOES contain xrefs.

Hi gents,

These did originally have XREFs attached, but I've just altered the drawings and titleblock.

But they have saved, and I no longer need the xrefs ? If that makes sense?

Post a screenshot of your ETRANSMIT command Files Tree tab showing all DWG files and explain where the missing 8 xrefs are in the one you posted.

Hi Mark!

Happy Friday. It has been a few days since you posted back in this thread.

If you're able to use ETRANSMIT and post your zip file here, I'd be happy to try and take a stab at the issue and provide some suggestions.

Let me know.

Following up on your thread, it appears that several folks have tried to help on this issue. Were you able to find a solution? Or a workaround?

Did any of the posts in the thread help with your issue?

Please post back in the thread if you are still having an issue with AutoCAD or Select Accept as Solution for the post’s that helped.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry for not replying, I have been away.

I was able to simply copy and paste the drawing across to a new template, and that removed the need  for the Xrefs.. seemed to work, but I know not the best way.
