batch plotting - sheet naming

I am wondering if someone would have a little advise here.  I have been using AutoCAD since 91 and unfortunately self taught.  I have been plotting sheets individually ever since.  I have a larger project so I have l finally looked into batch plotting.  I have figured most everything except the drawing/index naming.  I have been using the following standard to name my files, it was taught to me who at the time new what they were doing it goes as follows

2054 A7.1 A7.2 A.3 Building sections - the first numbers is the "job number" the second group of numbers are my individual sheets numbers in that file and finally a drawing type/title.   This allows me to look at a directory file list and find a project, find a particular sheet or drawing type at a glance.

For my tabs my tabs in a drawing file I will name them "A7.1 Building Section A, B, & C"  next Tab "A7.2 Building Sections D & E; Stair Section and so on.  When I plot individual drawings sheets it takes a little editing to name each plot sheet properly.  Now that I have tried batch plotting it seems there is not option to name plot files.  So in my index (which the local building officials insist be complete)  I get pages named

2054 A7.1 A7.2 A.3 Building Sections A7.1 Building Section A, B, & C

2054 A7.1 A7.2 A.3 Building Sections A7.2 Building Sections D & E; Stair Section

...and so on

My local Plan reviewer finds this too confusing.  If i could just have the batch files give each drawing tab name (without the file name in front of it) I would be golden.  Or if I could rename the index drawing title AFTER plotting/publishing I could make that work, but would have to buy and learn adobe which would be a pain even after I learned the software.  I also thought of simplifying my file name but that would make managing the files a big pain.  Finally I tried to create one file and bring in all of the hundreds of drawings in to said file and then make a tab for every single sheet in that drawings (36 tabs) and a whole lot of confusion in model space.

Am I missing something?  Is there a way to edit the drawing names the batch command assigns to each drawing? Is there a way to simplify the index drawing titles, is there a better naming system.

Looks like you are ready to get into SheetSet Manager (SSM) in AutoCAD/LT, where naming your "sheets" AKA Layouts are whatever you want, and they never change until you deliberately do so yourself.

That did the trick. After watching a few video's on the ssm command, I fiddle around with it and got exactly what I wanted!  Thanks You very much and stay safe (mask-up everyone please)
