AutoCAD LT sluggish all of a sudden

AutoCAD LT is now hesitating with normal, easy commands and occasionally flashes a lighter grey background for half the screen. I have unloaded 4 jpg xrefs and also put them on frozen layers. Microsoft recently updated, but I think the problem started before that.

Could be your graphics driver might have been updated. Try rolling back to a previous version to see if that helps.
