I want to use (+) as a dimension suffix, but I don't know how to do anything other than (+/-).

How can I use (+) ?

Thank you

Use %%P.  It works in Text, Mtext, and Dimensions, including as a Suffix built into the Dimension Style.

It's one of the special characters available via what they call Control Codes.

In AutoCAD LT 2026, you can add a dimension suffix by editing the dimension style.
Go to Annotate tab → Dimension Style → Modify → Primary Units tab, then enter your desired text (e.g., mm, in, etc.) in the Suffix field.
After that, click OK and Set Current to apply it.

If you only want to add the suffix to one specific dimension, you can double-click that dimension, open Properties, and edit the Suffix field directly.
