AutoCAD LT 2019 Freezes when saving

AutoCAD LT freezes when saving or saving as.  File can be reopened and worked on but then freezes again.  Same issue now I have AutoCAD LT 2020

Where are you saving to?
and if you change the location?
What is your OS?

Still experienceing the same problem.  Working off either the hard drive or DropBox, 2019 or 2020 after a few minutes AutoCAD freezes when I save and I have to use the Task manager to quit AutoCAD.  CPU @ 23% and memory @ 37% when frozen but the PC fans are working hard.  File size seem to be varying wildly between saves for no reason.

Are you saving to much older formats than the default 2018DWG?

Do you need to set your anti-virus/anti-whatever apps to stop scanning 2019-2020 files and apps?

Do you need to fix a few files to ensure that's not the underlying problem? RECOVER command (RECOVERALL command if they contain XREFs) then PURGE with all these boxes checked noted below then SAVE is what to do there.

IT may also help to uncheck these two troublesome choices in OPTIONS command by chance?
