AutoCAD LT 2006 Re-install

Hullo,

I am trying to re-install my licensed copy of Autocad LT 2006 from the original CD onto a rebuilt computer running Windows XP, but it is telling me the Serial No is incorrect which I find difficult to believe as I have clearly noted it on the disc sleeve sometime in the past.

Is it possible that it has been 'timed out' so to speak, ie beyond its 'use before' date?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there, yes I think I see the problem as the 2006 version has probably been over written by the 2010 version, but as I have a separate problem with the 2010 version I was trying 2006 to see if that would work.

The 2010 version is saying there is a file that is inaccessible and yet I can see it and open it.

Any ideas

You're right @Anonymous. If 2006 has been upgraded to 2010,you will no longer be able to activate 2006.

Regarding the issue with 2010, I'll leave that for your product experts to answer either on this topic or on the other one you started.

Post the exact wording of the problem you have in the 2010 version please. Be very detailed.

If you look at my other post re 2010 you will see all that happened - but you've replied I realise. Thanks I will end this particular post if that is possible
