I suspect that is not the case: turn on file extensions in Windows File Manager and confirm exactly the file types you are looking at, here is how to do that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoTah9YBG2Y

Once you can see DWG and BAK file extensions everywhere, then the job gets a little tricky on how to remove XPS file association with those file type, something like this https://www.thewindowsclub.com/change-file-associations-windows

AutoCAD LT 2019 saves correctly as dwg. Association is correct. Problem is that a XPS Document (.dwfx) file is created along with a plot Text Document (.log) file. Question is how to stop this. Thank you.
