Is there a method to calculate a panel size based on a box size?

Box: 884 x 1874

Panel Size: 872 x 1862 (Less 12mm from box size)

What exactly do you mean by auto calculate, is this to draw a panel (offset command) or create the text label. Do you use blocks or is this maybe for material take-off?

There is nothing Automatic in LT to subtract a quantity from both digits: an alternate might be that you draw a new rectangle with an OFFSET of 12 from the original rectangle for example, then create a custom FIELD for that object.

Appreciate your help.  Rather new to creating a FIELD.  Are you able to show me how to make those steps?

My apologies, FIELD only gives overall length of a polyline but not size of the rectangle: that's not going to help you much with your task.
