annotative blocks and text shrinking

hello, i have some blocks with text, annotative for scaling. the worked fine unitl i switched to a new computer and downloaded the 2025 auto cad, something has happened to my blocks and i cannot figure it out. i insert a block at 1/2" scale for example. when i switch to another scale to work on something else in the drawing, the text of this block shrinks very small, you can see it if you zoom up. take a look and let me know. thanks.

Your block seems to be working just fine here in LT2023-24-25: you need to ensure this is turned on like you used to have it in your older version perhaps?

Or is your STYLE not set to be annotative or set to a different size?

did you try and change the scale in the drawing after inserting it? this is when the text shrinks. i will make sure i have the annotation icon turned on at the bottom of the screen and see if that helps me. thanks

here is a drawing with it inserted. try and change the scale but dont add the scale to the block, just keep it the same and switch to 3/4 scale, or something. also i notice in properties under scale and the dialog box always shows 1 to 1 and i cannot delete it. i checked on my old computer and the 1 to 1 scale is not there. maybe this has something to do with it.

Do you mean these or something else?

OKAY, the change scale to annotatvie objects should be off. i dont want to add a scale to the block. i want to leave it at the scale inserted. then change the scale of the drawing to,say, dimension something in a different scale. this is when it disappears. could you try it again, dont add a scale to the block.

It looks like it is resizing back to your defined size in STYLE command, not much else (until you go back to 1/2" cannoscale setting).

But it seems I can do the same in LT2024 with your latest file, and in LT2023. How old a version is installed on your old computer?
