The majority of my cad work is done using the DWG to PDF driver. I love it, it's fast and PDF orientation and on-screen clarity are perfect. I have one client in particular who requires all drawings to be printed using the Adobe PDF driver. I have found yet another reason for me to prefer DWG to PDF over Adobe PDF.
When printing, DWG to PDF by default will put the drawing name and current layout tab name into the filename space in the "Save PDF As..." dialog box [drawing_name - Layout 1.pdf]. This is very convenient for me as that is how I like to name the majority of my PDFs. If I am using Adobe PDF I am finding out it will only capture a few characters from the drawing name randomly: sometimes the first 4 or 5, or 2, sometimes none at all [drawi.pdf] which forces me to enter the remaining characters.
Is this a universal glitch for all users of the Adobe PDF driver? Is there a setting somewhere to change/control any of that?
You’ll have to contact Adobe

Adobe's user forums for Acrobat are over here, sign-up and ask for guidance with your Adobe Software https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/ct-p/ct-acrobat?page=1&sort=latest_replies&lang=all&tabid=all
In the meantime it appears you can use Autodesk's built-in PDF drivers to get the results you need.
