Adding labels to lines and curves

Is there are function in AutoCAD LT that lets the user add labels to a line with the bearing and distance displayed? Similarly, for adding labels to curves. I've used such with AutoCAD Civil 3D in the past, and could not find it in AutoCAD LT.

"text" is all you get in LT.

A field will let you pick from a few options, plain angle or 'surveyors units'. Length of a line or arc, start, end or total angle of arc's.

Placing and populating them is a manual setup. You can get some level of 'automation' using dynamic blocks.
