Zoom Extents - Issue ONLY when in Wireframe

Hi all

This might seem like a very simple thing... ...but if it is - I am ashamed... .-)

Anyhow - We have a large scale project here where a large number of files (different origins) have the same issue.

If these models are opened (dwg format) in AutoCAD 2014, 2015 or Navisworks Simulate/Manage 2014/2015 there is an issue when using zoom extents.

If user has Visual Style Controls set to "2D Wireframe" it works fine. Zoom Extents and View Cube.

If user has Visual Style Controls set to "Wireframe" Zoom Extents doesn't work, but View Cube still does.

Same issue in Navisworks with these models.

Models are simple, and from various sources (see below).

We have cleaned them using:

- Purge All/nested

- Audit

- Delete all, remove window

-Copy clip to new drawing

...and checked Layers OFF/Frozen etc

Facts:

Running AutoCAD (Vanilla) 2014 and 2015, Navisworks Simulate and Manage 2014 and 2015.

Delivered files come from many different sources. AutoCAD Civil 3D (mostly pipe networks), Tekla, Microstation etc.

Added a video, recorded by ADSK Screencast.  Shows some of what we have checked.

This particular drawing (now Vanilla dwg) is exported from AutoCAD Civil 3D. Problem is still the same also in Civil 3D 2015.

Any nice ideas folks?

Hi,

the files contains Civil 3D objects, one of the is a PARCEL (which is something like a default generated object in Civil 3D).

Create a layer XX, freeze this layer, use _QSELECT ==> object type = "AECC_PARCEL" ==> operator = "select all" and then change it's layer to XX.
