Zoom Extents and not working with mouse wheel double click

I have MBUTTONPAN set to 1.  I checked the control panel mouse settings a didn't see a middle click setting.  I also can't pan using middle mouse wheel.  Is there another setting I can check?  Using AutoCAD 2017.  Thanks.

HI @Anonymous,

Have you tried another mouse to see if this is actually an issue with your existing one?  The MButtonPan should be set to 1 as you have done.

What kind of mouse are you using? Is it a trackpad?

It's a Logitech 310 wireless.  I've never had any issues with it.  This suddenly started happening today.

HI @Anonymous,

If you don't have another mouse to compare against, try uninstalling the Logitech driver  and then "rediscover your mouse" in the control panel. Please let me know if this changes the behavior. I am guessing your mouse got a new driver that is somehow not behaving.

Mouses wear out sometimes. It's usually easier to just plug in a new mouse as suggested and try it's middle click to see if it works in autocad rather than start trying drivers and what not first. If you don't have another mouse or can borrow a co-works for 5 minutes, you can see if the middle click works in other programs like chrome to bring up the scroll wheel as a test. It's not a perfect test as a single click might work, but quick clicks might not be registering correctly. If it just started not working and you didn't change any settings, do any updates, change OS, or software then my first guess is always the mouse is probably broken or just dirty.

It's possible it just needs cleaned. I've seen threads where people have mouse issues and go through tons of test and then post later, "hey I sprayed some can air in the wheel and now it work again!"

Hi,

Try resetting the Autocad to defaults.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to...

If you have an additional mouse then it's better to check with that. Because it may be an issue with the mouse.

I tried another mouse and it worked fine.  This is a pretty new mouse.  I'll try cleaning it and see if that helps.  Thanks.

It's working again.  It must have been dirty.  Thanks again...you saved me a lot of time and trouble.
