Hi,

welcome @Anonymous!

Please open XRef-manager and look to the status of the XRef, also right click the line with the XRef and try "Reload" ... does that help?

BTW: which version and service-pack of AutoCAD do you have?

HI,

>> my xref is attached to my drawing yet I can't see it on my screen <<

you may need to check your layer status . if you close your drawing and reopen it again is the same problem happened ? does your xref loaded well in your drawing ? have you check the scale and block units in the attachment dialog through attachment procedure ?

Hi,

>> it's all there AutoCad 2018

Excuse me, that answers 1 of 4 questions ...

These are open:

  • which service pack
  • which status does the referenced file have in the XRef manager
  • what happens when you reload it

from 3DCONFIG command try to disable your hardware acceleration and see if any changes .

Hi,

Please try to turn off hardware acceleration (command _GRAPHICSCONFIG), can you now see the XRef?

It might also help if you change the visual style to "2D Wireframe".

Hi,

if disabling hardware acceleration worked you should think about graphic card driver update, because XRef-disappearing should not happen.
