XREF using NAMED VIEW

Hi, I am working on a 3D peice. I would like to show 3-4 different views. But my client requirements needs all drawings and drawing boarder should be in Model Space. Since, I can not show all different views in just one model. I thought of creating a different file and create a NAMED VIEW (TOP view), (Front view) and (ISOMETRIC view) and do XREF's of those SAVED VIEWS. Unfortunately, my idea didn't work out.

Do you guys have different approach on this?

You can show multiple views while in model space. VPORTS.

Ah I see. But that is why we have viewports and paperspace...lol.

The client requirement that it all be in paperspace sounds onerous and like the client doesn't realize how AutoCAD works.

You could do block snapshots of all the different views, set them up all pretty in model space, and then add your border. FLATSHOT is what the command is I think.

Actually, that my last resort. Since, my client only needs a 2D drawings.

Maybe, Autodesk can create those type of command just like Bentley (MV8i) has.

Flatshot is the way to go I think.  You could make a block of the model, copy it and rotate it as needed for the views also.
