xref bind function grey out

I right click the xref but the bind option is grey out. Any ideas to bind the xref? Thanks

HI @Anonymous,

 

What kind of file is being xreferenced or attached?  If the format is an image or PDF, then you will not be able to bind the information.

I have same problem. The linked file is CAD. I can detach it, but I can't bind it.

Hello John,

I'm sure you are trying to help but most of people would know if they are refing pdf or image. Try to be mote diligent when answering someone else's questions. It's cad I am sure. Let's not just answer from your perspective view immediately.

I had the same issue. It was caused by the Xref being modified, and I was able to bind after reloading the XRef.
