X-ref Scaling Inconsistency

Dear All,

All 3 X-ref files (A, B & C) & host file (D) have their units set to millimeters for both source & target.

However, when I reference files A, B & C into D, file A is referencing in at a scale factor of 1000x smaller. I have circled the locations of each x-ref file within the host file to assist navigating.

I cannot figure out why this is happening - can anyone provide an explanation and solution?

Kind regards,

Jake

Sorted, thank you Pendean.

How does this unit setting differ to the (source & target) insertion scale settings within User Preferences?

the "dwgunits" inside your xref file are set to metres. So when Autocad is attaching the xref, it detects those units and multiplies by 1000 without asking you. Presumably this overrides the source & target units that you set in the xref settings.
(It's especially fun when the xref is set to "unitless")
