WRONG FILE OPENS WHEN I TRY TO OPEN A RECOVERY FILE

Hi,

i've been having some trouble when i try to open an autosave file. When i open it, it recovers and says theres nothing wrong, but the file that opens has nothing to do with the one i wanted to open. For example : i try to open a file named "JRHouse_recover" it opens a file with that same name but it is some other random file.

This happens with every recovery file I open, not only with a specific file.  😞

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I am sorry that you are having problems getting the correct file open from the autosave file.  I am more concerned too that you are having to go through the process at all. Did your AutoCAD crash? Do we want to fix that?

Here is an article about Autosave files. Can you describe the steps and locations you have done this process?

HI @Anonymous,

I haven't seen another post from you. Has this issue resolved itself? If not, please give me some more detail so i can help you get this corrected.
