On the bottom right of your screen you see a little 'cog' between all the different drawing aid icons. (right between the annotation scale 1:1 and the annotation monitor (+)) that is the workspace drawing aid.
If you click on that you will see the different workspaces autocad provides for you, you will also have the option to save your own workspace, and to add the label so you can see the name of the active workspace and can switch between them more rapidly.
As how to get rid of the toolbar, you can drag it somewhere else by clicking and dragging it from the 3 little dots in the upper left corner of the toolbar.
Personally I would step away from using toolbars (they are a thing of the past, and maybe won't be supported in future versions) and start using the ribbon, once you familiarize yourself with it, it will work faster & more intuitively, I find the ribbon is also better thematically organized. Or you could train yourself to type your most frequent commands, then you need neither.
