Working from home workflow due to virus

Hi all,

I have been told that I may need to work from home over the next few weeks due to the covid-19 outbreak.

I have used chrome remote desktop occasionally for the odd day I have had to work for home, however this work flow is not ideal due to a slight lag and limited screen resolution.

Is there an alternative remote access workflow users here could recommend?  Or is Autodesk able to offer a temporary license so I can install AutoCAD (Civil 3D) on my home computer?

i think autodesk allowed to install using same license in two computers but you can only use autocad one at the time. thanks

You might be able to get "Home Use" licences, as long as you're not logged in twice, eg, once at work, once at home.

Ask your employer for "home use" licensing permission, load the program up on your home PC to use.

I'm not a fan of the remote desktop setups but it's hard to say as I don't know your company size or user group size. We have had good luck using a vpn connection to access project files, printers etc. and our Autocad licenses are user based so location is not an issue for us.
