Windows 10 Compatibility?

Will AutoCAD LT 2014 be compatible with Windows 10 when released?  If not the, when?

Windows 10 isn't out yet and Autodesk has no made announcements on what products and versions will work on it if any at all

I am able to get AutoCAD 2015 running on Windows 10. Only thing I had to do was repair Visual Studio to fix a missing DLL file.

M$ employee? How about the person who gave you a kudo for this? New user signs in here and just gives a kudos and nothing else to back up that knowledge with (such as posts to these forums). Something smells fishy here lol, nothing personal. It's a good update to let people know what works.

lol understood. It's good to see new people joining the forum and immediately post valuable information that can be used by others such as you did. I was throwing a joke out there using the known tactic some businesses employ to attempt to add a positive spin to their products, including the dollar sign for the letter "s" - if just to indicate in a round about way that if I could run Autodesk products in Linux Mint, I'd have ditched MS sometime ago. What you posted is good info. My concern is people coming to these forums (new people for the most part) and they may become confused seeing such posts on these Autodesk forums and end up mistakenly believing that Autodesk will support such a setup. While I have not paid attention to or even looked to see if Autodesk released any info, as I said before it will more than likely only apply to the 2016 versions and nothing prior. Again, you posted good, valuable and useful - just hope it's not taken out of context by accident. Then again, why should I be so concerned! LOL

There is a time limit to upgrade for free to Win10? Since when? Your information is bogus. You have up to one year.

Hello, 

To provide an update on this topic and thread. The following AutoCAD versions have been tested with Windows 10.

• AutoCAD 2016 is supported with the application of AutoCAD 2016 SP1.
• AutoCAD LT 2016 is supported with the application of AutoCAD LT 2016 SP1.
• The 2016 version of most AutoCAD-based verticals should be installable and perform as expected on Windows 10


Autodesk product versions of 2012 and earlier are no longer supported and are not included in considerations of Windows 10 compatibility.

The English language versions of AutoCAD 2015 and AutoCAD-based verticals should be installable if you have received the Windows 10 update, KB3081448 or later.

Other AutoCAD language versions and language packs can be installed if Windows 10 update, KB3105210, is applied prior to installation.
DWG TrueView 2015 can be installed if Windows 10 update, KB3105210, is applied prior to installation.

The 2013–2014 versions of AutoCAD products will not be supported on Windows 10. For all links and further information on this topic please read over the AKN Article.

Folks, I know this is an old post but I have relevant information. I have used Autodesk software since R12 but a few years ago I had serious medical issues and couldn't maintain my subscription. I'm all for buying the latest versions but I just couldn't do it. I now have a part time job where I need to do some design/drafting work but Windows 10 didn't like my MEP 2013. I did some research and found a product called Longbow Converter and thought it would be worth the $80 dollars to try it. I installed it but had some minor problems. They set up a call to address the issues and did so very quickly and professionally. I have a fully functional MEP product in Windows 10 now. It is amazing! I have no connection to this company and paid full price for the product. This is an unsolicited endorsement of a great product. Thanks, Bill Henderson (my real name)
