Why does the images from the "Flatshot" command override my plotter setting?

Why do the images from the "Flatshot" command override my plotter setting? I have taken 3 Flatshot images and pasted them into a drawing. They plot in monochrome in Model Space but plot in color in the viewport in Paper Space. The drawing sheet is in monochrome but anything inside the viewport is plotted in colour. I'm plotting with CTB settings. It is only the information inside the viewports.

I think it's just a more limited command than a viewport. As far as I know, you can do the several options for linetype, color, & visibility for the foreground and the obscured lines.

If you are needing more colors than the 2 you can have in a flatshot I guess you would need to create a viewport with the desired view angle and save it out if you intend to use it often.

HI @Anonymous,

Which version of AutoCAD are you using?  Can you share a sample file for me to examine?

Hi John,

The problem was that several drawings I was working with were based on a corrupt template or drawing sheet. I started with a fresh template and rebuilt the drawings and everything was fine.
