why does autocad trim the opposite side

I went into AutoCAD search, and their answer was to make the line not to be trimmed longer. What? These lines already cross each other.

1. The image I have presented features a circle that is intersected by a line that passes through it entirely. I require the lower section of the circle to be trimmed; however, only the upper section is permitted to be modified in ACAD. How do I fix this

Post a drawing of the circle and three lines.

No other way anyone could answer just based on an image.

Try repeating the Trim command on attached drawing which looks similar to yours.

Does it work now?

This is getting stupid as it appears that this drawing trim problem only happens with this portion of the main drawing, as I redrew the portion elsewhere and everything worked.

Accepted solution

your current view is displayed in 3d:

Use VSCURRENT command and set to 2dWireframe and you can trim no problem:

that's because youtube's been around only since about 2005...while others of us here have used AutoCAD since the 80s...experience always trumps
