Why are my walls hollow

For some reason every time I use presspull to make the walls for my floor plan it makes them hollow. What do I do? Pictures below

I already connected it using PEDIT so im not sure what else to try. I am pretty new to 3d modeling.

I also tried using extrude and it still gave me hollow walls

Are your areas truly closed?  Are you doing it by selecting objects or by picking in bounded areas?

An image doesn't answer the question, but a .dwg file would.  But you can check yourself.  When you said you joined "it" with PEDIT, does that mean the entire convoluted perimeter is one Polyline?  If so, is it shown as closed in the Properties palette?

Odds are, you presspulled a polyline. I tried both 3D box and extrude instead of presspull, those seemed to fill it.
