Why are colors of object shade not displaying in paper space of AutoCAD 3D

I am using AutoCAD 2016. In model space, I draw a colored 3D object. Then I made an isometric view of that object in the paper space (layout page). In the 'Appearance' section of 'Drawing View Editor' I selected the 'Shaded with visible lines' option as below.

Shade With Visible Lines.png

In spite of that, in the layout page, the shade of the object, and its color is not displaying.

I also make it confirm that, in the 'Page Setup' window, the 'Display plot styles' checkbox is unchecked.

I did many things to have shade colors in layout, but nothing became successful.

Can anybody suggest me a solution?

The viewport in Layout has its own Visual Style.

I tried to change 'Visual Style' in the paper space, but following error message was displayed:

‘Cannot set a visual style in paper space.’

[EDITed]

Did you set the correct "Hidden lines" mode?

Can you show us a screen record (using e.g. Screencast) what you're doing please?

Can you post dwg for review? If, not can you click on the viewport and in the properties dialog box what is the shade plot set to?

Thanks.

I tried to do the same as you did and here it works. (That means I don't see any error in your handling).

A shot into the dark - a problem with the graphic(?). Turn off the Hardware acceleration (command GRAPHICSCONFIG) and after restarting AutoCAD try it again. Tell us if this helps.

Hi,

currently I have no idea what happened to your dwg-file, however when you create a new drawing, copy & paste your geometry from the existing (defect) dwg to the new one, all works well with _VIEWBASE and shaded view.

[EDIT] if I create a new layout in your drawing, it works well too [/EDIT]

In your dwg I'm also not able to give the view a shaded design. But if I create a new viewport all works well. I don't know what is wrong with your viewports, sorry.

Thanks for your suggestion.

In my case, if I copy & paste the geometry, there is no success. So I suspect that my system or my AutoCAD has problem. So I decided to switch to a newer version of AutoCAD.

Hi,

In that case yes, can you show a screenshot of command/dialog _ABOUT?

Which version? ... and did it help to get this solved?
