i eTransmit a drawing which contains custom linetype and put it on shared folders.  now others can see it correctly.

but where did it send the .LIN   which i created for this drawing ?

if i email it to others who does not share the folder with me,  will they be able to see it ?

Did you search the ZIP file that ETRANSMIT creates? I bet you found out that Linetypes inside a file are, well, inside the DWG file, the external LIN definition does not tag along.
Same with custom hatch PAT files.

Any custom CTB, STB, font or *.shx shape files referenced in your drawing's text or linetypes needs to be added in ETRANSMIT. Keep in mind standard fonts depend on what version of Windows or Mac you're using and what version of Office you're using. It's common for someone you receives your ETRANSMIT to need additional files. No magic way for ETRANSMIT to know every file another user at a different company may need.
