Btrim is an express tool that used to give you extra functionality:

It is obsolete now, as the core product TRIM command can pretty much do this built in.

As I asked in your other identical posts, are you simply trying to edit the content of the block itself? Your sample file in your other post and your video of your action did not quite explain your actual intent/desired final result.

BTW, quit starting new posts and stick to one so you can see all the answers in one place: you are only confusing yourself 100% of the time at this point.

HI

Actually i want to learn Btrim & Bextend commands.

I know full details of Refedit, Block edit, Trim & Extend commands.

i thought Btrim command will trim Block objects instantly. But it is not.

if Both Trim and Btrim command doing same job, then, why two commands were there?

so, some thing different in Btrim or Trim command. That's what i want to know.

and i thought, Creating different Post may help and solve another user's question easily while searching.

because BTRIM is a legacy express tool, which have not been updated in years, and are unsupported.  It was something that was created as a bonus tool back around R14 to give functionality that was not available in the core program.  It has since been added to the core program, but because the express tools are unsupported, the command was not removed.

HMM

Ok Sir, My final question is, from when btrim function added to trim command? I mean, from which version both command became same?

and why it is not listed in Autocad Obsolete List?

BTRIM is an obsolete command now: it is pointless using/learning about it since TRIM command does exactly the same thing. Ignore it since you are new to AutoCAD (or Express Tools or both).

So, you never answer my primary question: in your sample DWG file from the other post and the video you posted, are you actually trying to trim lines inside your block? TRIM and BTRIM commands do not do that, you have to be inside the block editor first. Answer this question please.

Yes. i want to trim Block but without opening Block editor. AT Starting, i thought, Trim & Btrim will be different. So, i thought Btrim command will trim Block object instantly ( without opening block editor ) to save time.

now, i understood that.

Thank you very much for your Replies.

Prior to R2015 (at least 6 releases ago), and that is as far back as I could look.
