LTGAPSELECTION is a System Variable that can be turned on to allow the user to snap within gaps on non-continuous linetypes.
When on, the gaps are recognized by object snaps which allow you to snap to the objects even when picking on a blank space.
Hardware Acceleration & High Quality Geometry must be on for this to work, and LTGAPSELECTION must be set to 1.
