Went from 2013 to 2017, can't seem to suppress viewing PDF after plotting

I had written an AutoLISP routine that used autopublish to create a multi-page PDF file, then move and rename it based on drawing properties. The problem I'm having in 2017 is that AutoCAD always tries to open the file after plotting, even with the option unchecked in my plotter options.

Is this just a quirk of 2017 that you can't turn off preview after plot?

Go into your PDF driver and turn off the option to open the pdf after creation: you did the same thing back in 2013 (or someone did it for you back them).

In 2017 if you select the default core PDF drivers an extra pulldown shows up in PLOT and in PUBLISH command to easily do that too.

See the attached screenshot. Unless I'm doing it wrong, I believe it is turned off.

A co-worker and I have just upgraded to AutoCAD 2017 and we have unchecked "show results in viewer" and it still opens the pdf after autopublishing.

Using LT2017 here and the PDF does not open after it's creation when I uncheck the same box in PLOT command pop-up.
How are you answering the question that appears as soon as you uncheck that box and click OK?

Which driver are you editing? I'm not sure which one is used by "autopublish" so you'll probaqbly need to manually edit all the PDF pc3 files in LT2017, 5+ any you may have migrated that do their own thing.

AutoPublish? As in a PDF is created without your input when you save or close a DWG file?

Perhaps there is a difference here in the LT version, because there is no question that pops up for me.

My co-worker has LT2017, I have AutoCAD Mechanical 2017 and yes I am only talking about autopublish.  When we close the file we have it autopublish and the only question we get is "AutoPublish current drawing file to PDF file using Automatic Publish Settings?" Yes or No

We are using the DWG To PDF.pc3 and we have the "show results in viewer" unchecked but the pdf still opens.

I just went through and unchecked the box on every single PDF related plotter and this resolved the issue. I guess autopublish may be using a specific plotter and not the one assigned in the page layout.

I just changed all +5 PDF pc3 files and it still opens the pdf after autopublish.

We specify DWG to PDF.pc3 in the Options "Plot and Publish" tab as the default output device.

Make sure you do this bot both Civil and LT 2017s, and ensure you don't have server based PC3 files being used.
Like the original poster, we did what they are reporting as a fix and we cannot replicate your issue.
