Hi All,

Plotting white text on a black background fails when plotting an entire sheet but if I limit the extents of the plot to a small windows the white text plots fine.  What could possibly cause this?  See the attached screencast.

Regard,

James

@cadffm

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Special thanks for such a good insight as to "how" this can work!

@pendean

Thanks for your help.

So the solution for STB based drawings is to place the "white" (no ink here) objects on a layer with the color 255,255,255 assigned to that layer. Then objects (always) set to plot "by layer" which is a standard for us. And now I can finally see it work, and understand the logic. I wasn't aware of the significance of color 255,255,255 and why it was any different than white. If you haven't been exposed to some of these tips in the past, there's no way you can "know" how to do it.

All I was asking is for someone to explain to me how, so now I have explained how. I appreciate the ability to jump in and experiment with things not tried before.

This will save me a lot of time going forward.

Kudos to all of you who help others!
