Want have all Xref file to have the same layers as the host file

Hi,

I want to have the same layer for all xref as in the host file.

For example if I have a host file named abc.dwg and a layer of Lights , I want to have layer Lights to be also in the

Xref files not to have as I have now xyx|Lights.

Having a floor plan with a lot of rooms , each room being a Xref, it creates separate layers for each Xref.

I want to be able to switch off layer Lights in host file and to be switched off in all xref files.

Thanks.

Hi,

Not applicable . this is how AutoCAD xref layers treat since you want xrefs to still without bind .

I guess you can set up a layer filter so you can quickly select all layers contain "lights" and turn them off.

Be aware that this can be applied only after the Xref has been bound into the current drawing.
