I have upgraded from 2021 to 2024, and have a problem seeing the new vpfreeze symbol in the layer manager, and layer pull-down. Is there a way to revert to the vpfreeze old symbol in layer manger, or just use the same symbols as regular freeze in the vpfreeze column.
Not unless you want to go back to that version

Show us what you see: share a screenshot.
Also share with us a screenshot of your 2024's ABOUT command pop-up as well as a screenshot of your 2024's GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-up please.
Attached are three AutoCAD Civil 3D screenshots from 2024 and 2018. I am only allowed three attachments, so I will reply a second time with the graphicsconfig. The VPFreeze symbol in 2024 is has a much smaller sun/snowflake portion than in 2018. I just noticed that the other symbols are smaller too. I moved the VPFreeze column next to the regular freeze column. The defpoints layers have the viewport frozen symbol while the other have the thawed.
GraphicsConfig screenshots for 2024 and 2018 attached.
Thanks for the screenshots: your white background is much brighter than mine and I see those washed out colors on your screen are very had to see.
About all you can do inside these newer AutoCAD/C3D versions is the following:
EDIT: I don't know if would make much of a difference, but you could try setting GFXDX12 to 0 (that's a zero) then restart your C3D to see if that is any better (set it back to 1 if not).
Thanks. I tried both suggestions, and neither worked for me. I hope Autodesk will go back to the old symbols, but for now I will just have to struggle through it. It is a shame when they break something that was working fine.
Perfect opportunity to let Autodesk know
