Viewports different on Sheet Set Drawings with Named Model Spaces

I working on a pipeline project that has many long rectangular viewports along its length, five in this instance.  I have created a xref file in which I have stored a named modelspace view for each viewport.  From a sheet set I then generated five drawings each with the named modelspace as a sheet view.  The modelspace views overlap on each side with the adjacent ones.

Sheet 1 appears different from the remaining sheets, even the parts that are overlapping.  In particular lines showing up in sheet 2 are missing from sheet 1 (eg over head power that runs through all sheets) To start with I tested the process with 1 named modelspace and one sheet, and when it worked I created the rest.  I actually have a large number of sheets to go and wanted to check I had my process correct before going to far.

Initially I had an issue where Sheet 1 viewport wouldnt print, so I deleted it and brought the model view back in.  This fixed it, however the layout was different from the adjacent sheets.  I then deleted Sheet 1 completely from the set and harddrive, and made a new copy from Sheet 2 and updated with the correct model space view.  The problem still persisted so I deleted the original Sheet 1 model space view and regenerated it, but the issue persist.

I have checked the properties of the viewports, drawings and named modelspace views and the settings appear the same.

A sample of sheet 1 and 2 overlap area is below.  I have highlighted the common car/solar panels for reference, and in sheet 2 the lines that should be extending over to Sheet 1.  The yellow vertical lines are non-printing rectangles outlining the extent of eachsheet in model space.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for your post. It sounds like there might be a conflict between sheets or possibly file corruption. Is this occurring with any other sheet sets? Are you starting with a custom drawing template or reusing a drawing?

Maybe try repairing the drawing files first as explained in the following AutoCAD Knowledge Network (AKN) articles:

How to repair corrupt AutoCAD files

Optimizing the AutoCAD drawing file: Purge, Audit & Recover

If you continue to have trouble after this, can you provide the drawing using the the ETRANSMIT command which will let you bundle all reference files together.

Thanks Cheryl,

I have tried a couple of the items but it hasnt worked.  I will keep working through it.

However I created a new named model view BUT with a different title (eg 1A instead of 1) and it has fixed the issue.

Regards
Brian

Hi @Anonymous,

When replacing a view entirely resolves the issue, it's often an indication of a conflict or corruption. I am glad to hear that worked for you.
