i am using autocad 2021. so i am trying to put drawing on sheet using the viewport. i can create the VP and select it but the problem i am having is that it is not giving the option to resize it. the grip function is not showing when i select the VP. i created a new layer but that did not fix the issue either. PS not of the layers are freeze, lock etc.  Please help

What happens when you make a new layout with new vport...do those new vports in the new layout let you resize?

Perhaps share a sample drawing by posting it here for everyone to take a look

Select the viewport and look at it's properties.... Is it locked?

Neither of these solutions worked for me. The viewport is not thwart nor frozen. It just that the option to resize the port is not available. I can select the viewport but I can't grip it nor adjust it once the ports are drawn

It's not locked. In autocad web I can resize the vport but not in the cad software on the computer

This is how your dwg looks like before I worked on resizing the Vports:

This is how the dwg looks like now after I successfully gripped each Vport & resized them.

But noticed that each Vport like the one I've selected are Display Locked

So if you're referring to not being able to move them to mean not being able to change the view shown this is why:

I'm still not getting the option to gripped the vport. The 5 blue squares on the vport is not showing up even after I click on the vport to resize it. Should the DISPLAY LOCKED be yes or no.

Do you see grips on viewports when you select them first in other layouts in that same file?
Do you see grips in other DWG files' Layout Viewports?

Do you see GRIPS if you select objects in modelspace (the shared DWG files or other DWG files?

Is your PICKFIRST variable (and PICKADD variable) set to the default listed in HELP? Both should be, look them up when you get a chance please.

I just update the pick first in options and it worked. I'm seeing the gripped options to resize the vports. Thank you so much for your help

If you're in model space, Switch to paper space and it should work.
