Using Palmslam lidar in Autocad

I'm wondering if any1 here try this out yet... planning to purchase a lidar scanner for my little project at home.

@nodink  Does your scanner state it's software is fully integrated with AutoCAD specifically? Not CAD, but AutoCAD?
Or it does generate PointClouds or DXF or DWG files that are specifically stated to be AutoCAD usable? Not CAD, but spells out AutoCAD?

Many years ago when the laser scanners were just getting started, we had one of the companies selling the scanners come out and demonstrate the capabilities of the hardware/software.  I would suggest you do the same.

You can use Autodesk ReCap Pro to work with point cloud data from a LiDAR scanner. It allows you to process and link point cloud data directly into software like Revit 2024 for your projects.

I have and no solution to my question about PALMSLAM LIDAR.

I found this website which allows you to ask a question about the scanner:

The file formats produced by the scanner are listed as:  ROS, pgm, yaml raster map - none of which I am familiar with.  I would think converting these formats to something AutoCAD might recognize could be a major problem.
