How do you know that unlicensed AutoCAD was used?  Did the user tell you?

You can find quite a lot of details about the authoring version of the software which saved a particular DWG file but not the licensing status of the user (see e.g. DWGintVer: https://www.cadforum.cz/en/how-to-find-which-autocad-version-was-used-to-save-a-DWG-tip10702).

Or do you mean the genuine DWG vs. "DWG" files created by various "AutoCAD lookalikes"?

Yes, but you may end up dealing with proxy objects or noneditable entities.

Consequences of Using Unlicensed AutoCAD:

Legal Implications: Using unlicensed software violates copyright laws and terms of use. Autodesk actively monitors and takes legal action against unauthorized usage.

Limited Functionality: Unlicensed versions may have restricted features, watermarks, or limitations, affecting productivity.

Security Risks: Unlicensed software may contain malware or security vulnerabilities.

Hello im not using a cracked version of AutoCAD im just asking about users who you know that they use unlicensed AutoCAD what about the files created by those users i mean on your studio you may be faced to such situations for exemple a client who brings dwg files from another architect or civil engineer

Does Autodesk allow to use files created by unlicensed versions ?

My advise is to contact Autodesk immediately and they would provide you with instructions on how to move forward

Not saying t's you, and yes I come across some myself on rare occasions. Just mentioning you may come across uneditable or broken entities.
