User Defined Linetypes.

Hello,

I have managed to make line 1 and get it in the file acad.lin.

I want to improve the line so that it becomes like line 2, thus reinforcing the break points with a symbol such as a cross or circle.

Is this possible?

I do not believe it is possible.  linetype definitions are based on a repeating pattern of specified length, there is no way I am aware to account for random PIs in a line to place an x or circle at those points.  it may be possible to do this using some sort of a secondary program  (LISP) to place a symbol at all PIs of a polyline or line, as long as you are not on LT, but that symbol would still be separate from the line

Not inherently in a linetype definition.  But there are routines out there to place things at all vertices of selected Polylines, such as this one that puts Points at them.  It could be modified easily to Insert Blocks, or draw Circles, etc., as you prefer

Hi @Anonymous,

As others have suggesteed, this is not possible in a linetype. @Kent1Cooper linked a routine that might help you get the correct appearance and you might also check out the Autodesk App store to see if there are other routines too.

Thank you for your dedication, it was a pity that my problem could not be resolved as per my wish. I will try the solution above.
