I will be upgrading my AutoCAD 2015 version to AutoCAD 2020.  Will my classic workspace work?

Make one in 2020 anytime you want, takes about a minute, avoid migrating what you have from 2015 if you can avoid it.

I wouldn't recommend it.  Setting up from scratch is a good exercise in reviewing new features as well as UI manipulation.  It also helps keep legacy items from being dragged forward.

... and if you have customizations you need to move over, you can use CUI command's Transfer Tab to move content from your 12015 menu to the 2020 menu.

Thank you for the replys.  I keep putting this off because I know as soon as I start to update my boss will hand me a project that needs to be done right away. 

I was hoping that the migrate tool would take care of most everything.  Otherwise what would take one of you experts  1 minute would take me all day to figure out.  I'm looking at the help pages in AutoCAD.  I may have enough courage to try this in the next couple of weeks.  Thanks again.

How to recreate the "Classic" Workspace with all the toolbars and pulldown menus from old (with no Ribbon) in about one minute:

MENUBAR command, turn it on = 1 (4 seconds)
Go to Tools > toolbars > acad > layers (5 seconds)
hoover over layers toolbar > right click > properties (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > standard (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > styles (3 seconds)
hoover over any toolbar > right click > workspaces (3 seconds)
RIBBONCLOSE command (3 seconds)
arrange toolbars as you desire (20 seconds)
WORKSPACE command, SAVEAS option, CLASSIC will be the new name you type (5 seconds)

It sounds like a good time to let go of toolbars and learn the ribbon and contextual menus.

I upgraded today and all my toolbars, express tools pulldown, custom hatches and linetypes came in.  Everything except the right side text menu.  Does anyone know what that is called and how to bring it in?

I attached a .jpg with the right side menu circled.  That's the only thing that didn't come in this time.

Oh... wow.  That's OLD - haven't seen that since mouseless R12.

Drop it, most of that is available from the right click context menu.
